COMPACT LRF WITH FREE BALLISTICS
The S3R and S6R feature a built-in laser rangefinder, redesigned with advanced technology to be more compact without adding weight or affecting usability. Despite its compact size, it delivers a detection range of up to 1,312 yards with high precision of ±1 meter (1.09 yards). It also comes with a free ballistic calculator, significantly boosting long-range shooting accuracy.

READY IN HAND OR ON RIFLE
Built for mobility, the STORM series is ultra-light—even the S3R and S6R weigh just 1lb, so you can use them handheld without wearing out your arm. Every unit includes a free QD mount for quick and easy rifle setup.

POWERFUL BASE MAGNIFICATION
The S6R starts at 2×, but even after digital zoom to 3×, it delivers even better image clarity than the S3R—while offering a wider field of view and sharper visuals at closer ranges.

INTUITIVE OPERATING SYSTEM
The enlarged, four-directional button layout makes it easy to identify and operate each control, even when wearing gloves, making it convenient to use as a scanner as well. The device's buttons are directly mapped to the user interface (UI). When you press a button, the corresponding function on the UI lights up, providing a clear indication of which function you have triggered.

RETURN TO CENTER FUNCTION (RTC)
After zeroing, the RTC function will automatically reposition the reticle closer to the center of the x-axis and y-axis. If the deviation from the center position is minimal, it can even realign the reticle directly to the center, enabling you to have a more comfortable field of view and making it easier to maintain focus on the target.

ADJUSTABLE PICTURE-IN-PICTURE (PIP)
Unlike other scopes where the Picture-in-Picture (PIP) image is simply magnified along with the outer image, the STORM allows you to adjust the magnification level of the PIP image independently, enabling users to maintain awareness of the surroundings and improve shooting accuracy using the PIP function.

1000g IMPACT RESISTANCE
The STORM is built to withstand impacts of up to 1000g, making it an excellent choice for hunting weapons with larger calibers such as .375 H&H, 12-gauge, and 9.3×64. Its durable design ensures long-term reliability and remains undamaged even in the most challenging conditions.
MORE FEATURES

Reliable Clarity in Any Humidity
Equipped with a 12µm sensor and a 1024 OLED display, STORM reduces image noise with its Sunny Mode—giving you a cleaner, more detailed view. But it doesn’t stop there. In high-humidity conditions, Rain Mode boosts thermal sensitivity to reveal subtle temperature differences. Whether it’s a rainy day or a foggy night, STORM ensures you can spot your target with accuracy and confidence.

IP67 Waterproof
Engineered with an impressive IP67 waterproof, the STORM is fortified against water intrusion, ensuring robust protection for the device. This exceptional waterproofing capability safeguards the internal components, significantly extending its lifespan

Wi-Fi Integration with RIX+ APP
The STORM has built-in Wi-Fi, enabling seamless connectivity with your Android or iOS smartphone through the RIX+ app. This powerful combination provides numerous advantages, such as wireless software updates and live image streaming to your mobile device screen.

Photo, Video Recording and Built-in MIC
The STORM offers photo and video recording capabilities, ensuring effortless capture of remarkable moments day or night. Experience uncompromising audio quality with our carefully selected built-in microphone.

Versatile Reticle and LRF Customization
STORM offers 32 reticle combinations with 4 colors and 8 styles to match your shooting needs. You can also customize the rangefinder display—adjust its position and style via the app for a fully personalized setup.

Thermal Explained

What is NETD?

NETD stands for Noise Equivalent Temperature Difference, and it’s one of the most important specs in thermal optics.

What it actually means

NETD measures how small a temperature difference a thermal sensor can detect.

  • It’s usually expressed in millikelvin (mK)
  • Example: <30 mK means the device can detect temperature differences as small as 0.03°C

What is pixel pitch?

Pixel pitch is the distance between pixels on a thermal sensor. Smaller pixel pitch (e.g. 12μm) means more pixels and sharper image detail.

Why it matters:

Smaller pitch = better clarity, improved detection, and more compact devices.

Why does pixel resolution matter in thermal optics?

Pixel resolution determines how much detail a thermal device can display. Higher resolutions—such as 640×512—use more pixels to detect heat, producing sharper images, clearer target identification, and better digital zoom. Lower resolution devices can still detect heat but often lack the detail needed to clearly distinguish objects.

Frame Rate Explained

Frame rate, measured in Hz, is how many times per second the image refreshes. Higher frame rates—like 50–60 Hz—provide smoother motion, less lag, and better tracking of moving targets, while lower frame rates can appear more choppy when scanning or following movement.

Warranty

Duration

All RIX Optics complete devices come with a standard 3-year warranty.

For thermal imaging devices featuring 384x288 resolution detectors or higher resolution detectors, an additional 2-year extended warranty is available upon registration on the RIX official website.

Coverage

All products purchased from RIX Optics are guaranteed to be free from manufacturing defects or breakage associated with the intended normal use of the product during the periods as stated above from the date of purchase.

Exclusions

  • Does not apply to modified, abused, neglected, or misused products outside the scope of their intended use.
  • Does not warrant or accept damages associated with normal wear, intentional damage, sensor core burns or damage, operator error, host weapons, ammunition, theft, loss, or any other cause or event not specifically stated herein.
  • Does not cover products that have been repaired by the customer or any other party without obtaining prior written consent from RIX Optics. If the products are modified or maintained by anyone other than RIX Optics, this warranty becomes invalid and no longer applies.
  • Does not apply to failure or damage caused by failure to follow the product's instructions for use or storage, or maintenance, including damages caused by improper handling, neglect, or environmental factors. For full details, please refer to the Universal Terms of Use page.
  • Does not apply to damage caused by impact, fire, lightning strikes, flooding, human negligence, natural disasters, or force majeure events.

Repair

We strive to ensure that your experience with us is effortless and trouble-free. If you have any warranty work that needs to be conducted, please submit the Warranty Registration Form.

Repair or Replacement Policy

  • Please note that not all parts are currently available, and there are certain issues that cannot be repaired. If your product is diagnosed as unrepairable or falls outside the scope of our warranty, our service team will get in touch with you to discuss the available options.
  • If your unit can't be repaired within 14 business days after we receive it, it will be replaced with either the exact same unit or a direct replacement if your unit is discontinued.
  • One-way shipping covered for the first 60 days after the original purchase date: you cover the cost of sending the unit to us for repair, and RIX will cover the cost of returning it to you once the repair is complete. After 60 days, this warranty does not cover the expenses associated with shipping or transporting the product (including to and from RIX Optics or our authorized dealer), insurance, or any fees, duties, and taxes for warranty claims made outside the European Union.
