RIX Optics NANO N6 Thermal Imaging Clip-On
The RIX Optics NANO N6 is an ultra-compact thermal imaging clip-on designed to convert a properly zeroed daytime riflescope into a high-performance thermal optic. Measuring less than 100mm long, it adds minimal bulk to your setup while maintaining your existing point of aim without the need to re-zero.
Its 640×512 thermal sensor, ultra-sensitive ≤15mK NETD and fast F1.0 germanium optics deliver a detailed, high-contrast image in difficult weather and low-contrast conditions. A built-in 1500m laser rangefinder and ballistic calculation provide real-time ranging support, while the removable 18650 battery system allows batteries to be changed quickly in the field.

Pre-Zeroed Clip-On Performance
Mount the NANO N6 in front of a properly zeroed daytime riflescope and retain your existing point of aim. The unit offers shooting accuracy of ≤1 MOA and a fine 1.2cm at 100m adjustment value for precise alignment.
Compact and Lightweight
At only 99.8mm long and 435g, the NANO N6 minimises additional front-end length and weight. Its compact design helps maintain rifle balance and provides a more stable, comfortable setup during extended use.
Integrated Laser Rangefinder and Ballistics
The integrated laser rangefinder measures targets at distances of up to 1500m with ±1m accuracy. Built-in ballistic calculation provides additional shooting support when engaging targets at varying distances.
High-Definition Thermal Image
A 640×512, 12μm VOx thermal sensor combines with a 50mm F1.0 objective lens and ≤15mK thermal sensitivity to reveal fine detail in complex environments. AI-powered image processing balances bright and dark areas to produce a cleaner and more detailed image.
Clip-On and Monocular Operation
The NANO N6 can be used as either a front-mounted thermal clip-on or, with the appropriate eyepiece attachment, as a handheld thermal monocular. Four selectable interface scaling levels help match the display to different daytime scope magnifications.
Replaceable Battery System
The replaceable 18650 battery system allows batteries to be changed quickly without taking the device out of service for charging. Two 18650 batteries and a battery charger are supplied.

Thermal Explained
What is NETD?
NETD stands for Noise Equivalent Temperature Difference, and it’s one of the most important specs in thermal optics.
What it actually means
NETD measures how small a temperature difference a thermal sensor can detect.
- It’s usually expressed in millikelvin (mK)
- Example: <30 mK means the device can detect temperature differences as small as 0.03°C
What is pixel pitch?
Pixel pitch is the distance between pixels on a thermal sensor. Smaller pixel pitch (e.g. 12μm) means more pixels and sharper image detail.
Why it matters:
Smaller pitch = better clarity, improved detection, and more compact devices.
Why does pixel resolution matter in thermal optics?
Pixel resolution determines how much detail a thermal device can display. Higher resolutions—such as 640×512—use more pixels to detect heat, producing sharper images, clearer target identification, and better digital zoom. Lower resolution devices can still detect heat but often lack the detail needed to clearly distinguish objects.
Frame Rate Explained
Frame rate, measured in Hz, is how many times per second the image refreshes. Higher frame rates—like 50–60 Hz—provide smoother motion, less lag, and better tracking of moving targets, while lower frame rates can appear more choppy when scanning or following movement.
Warranty
Duration
All RIX Optics complete devices come with a standard 3-year warranty.
For thermal imaging devices featuring 384x288 resolution detectors or higher resolution detectors, an additional 2-year extended warranty is available upon registration on the RIX official website.
Coverage
All products purchased from RIX Optics are guaranteed to be free from manufacturing defects or breakage associated with the intended normal use of the product during the periods as stated above from the date of purchase.
Exclusions
- Does not apply to modified, abused, neglected, or misused products outside the scope of their intended use.
- Does not warrant or accept damages associated with normal wear, intentional damage, sensor core burns or damage, operator error, host weapons, ammunition, theft, loss, or any other cause or event not specifically stated herein.
- Does not cover products that have been repaired by the customer or any other party without obtaining prior written consent from RIX Optics. If the products are modified or maintained by anyone other than RIX Optics, this warranty becomes invalid and no longer applies.
- Does not apply to failure or damage caused by failure to follow the product's instructions for use or storage, or maintenance, including damages caused by improper handling, neglect, or environmental factors. For full details, please refer to the Universal Terms of Use page.
- Does not apply to damage caused by impact, fire, lightning strikes, flooding, human negligence, natural disasters, or force majeure events.
Repair
We strive to ensure that your experience with us is effortless and trouble-free. If you have any warranty work that needs to be conducted, please submit the Warranty Registration Form.
Repair or Replacement Policy
- Please note that not all parts are currently available, and there are certain issues that cannot be repaired. If your product is diagnosed as unrepairable or falls outside the scope of our warranty, our service team will get in touch with you to discuss the available options.
