Brighter, Sharper Thermal Imaging

The GLINT G3 uses a 384 × 288 VOx uncooled thermal sensor with a 12μm pixel pitch and thermal sensitivity below 20mK. This allows the scope to reveal subtle temperature differences and deliver clearer target detail in demanding conditions.

Its fast F0.9 objective lens allows more thermal energy to reach the sensor, while the 60Hz frame rate provides smooth, fluid imaging when scanning, tracking moving targets or changing direction quickly.

Enhanced Clarity in Poor Weather

Advanced image-processing technology dynamically improves image clarity and contrast as conditions change. A dedicated Weather Mode, including a specialised Rain Mode, helps maintain clearer target definition in rain, fog and humid environments where thermal image quality can begin to degrade.

Integrated 1,500m Laser Rangefinder

The built-in laser rangefinder measures distances out to 1,500 metres with accuracy of approximately ±1 metre, giving you fast and reliable distance information without the need for a separate handheld rangefinder.

Real-Time Ballistic Calculation

The integrated ballistic calculator uses ranging information alongside ammunition and environmental data to provide real-time aiming guidance. This helps reduce manual estimation and makes it easier to respond when distance or conditions change.

Full HD AMOLED Display

A 1920 × 1080 AMOLED display provides a clear, detailed viewing image with strong contrast and smooth visual performance, helping you make the most of the G3's high-sensitivity thermal sensor.

Flexible 21700 and 18650 Battery Compatibility

The replaceable battery system supports standard 21700 rechargeable batteries and can also use 18650 batteries with the included adapter sleeve.

Batteries can be changed quickly in the field, supporting continuous use without waiting for the complete scope to recharge. Two 21700 batteries and a battery charger are supplied with the GLINT G3.

Lightweight and Well Balanced

Weighing approximately 645g, the GLINT G3 is designed to reduce unnecessary strain and keep the rifle responsive. Its balanced design makes shouldering, target transitions and directional changes smoother in the field.

Thermal Explained

What is NETD?

NETD stands for Noise Equivalent Temperature Difference, and it’s one of the most important specs in thermal optics.

What it actually means

NETD measures how small a temperature difference a thermal sensor can detect.

  • It’s usually expressed in millikelvin (mK)
  • Example: <30 mK means the device can detect temperature differences as small as 0.03°C

What is pixel pitch?

Pixel pitch is the distance between pixels on a thermal sensor. Smaller pixel pitch (e.g. 12μm) means more pixels and sharper image detail.

Why it matters:

Smaller pitch = better clarity, improved detection, and more compact devices.

Why does pixel resolution matter in thermal optics?

Pixel resolution determines how much detail a thermal device can display. Higher resolutions—such as 640×512—use more pixels to detect heat, producing sharper images, clearer target identification, and better digital zoom. Lower resolution devices can still detect heat but often lack the detail needed to clearly distinguish objects.

Frame Rate Explained

Frame rate, measured in Hz, is how many times per second the image refreshes. Higher frame rates—like 50–60 Hz—provide smoother motion, less lag, and better tracking of moving targets, while lower frame rates can appear more choppy when scanning or following movement.

Warranty

Duration

All RIX Optics complete devices come with a standard 3-year warranty.

For thermal imaging devices featuring 384x288 resolution detectors or higher resolution detectors, an additional 2-year extended warranty is available upon registration on the RIX official website.

Coverage

All products purchased from RIX Optics are guaranteed to be free from manufacturing defects or breakage associated with the intended normal use of the product during the periods as stated above from the date of purchase.

Exclusions
